9th Dalai Lama : Lungtok Gyatso : Lung-rtogs-rgya-mtsho (1805-1815)
Son of Tenzin Choekyong and Dhondup Dolma, Lungtok Gyatso was born in 1805 Dan Chokhor, on the Kham region.
He was recognized as the reincarnation of the 8th Dalai Lama in 1807, and escorted to Lhasa on a great ceremony.
In 1810, he was enthroned at the Potala Palace, taking his novice vows from the Pachen Lama, getting the name of Lungtok Gyatso.
Lungtok Gyatso died very young in 1815 at the age of 9.
